Each month, Canary Books chooses one new book we believe is worth making time for. Members receive the book along with a short note about why we chose it. Pick it up in Fayetteville or have it mailed within the United States.
Canary Subscription will begin with a small group of readers. Join the list now and you'll be the first to know when the initial memberships open. There is no charge and no obligation to subscribe.

What comes each month
A Canary-selected book, usually thoughtful fiction, Appalachian or regional writing, memoir, essays, independent-press work, or unusual nonfiction.
A short printed letter explaining why the book was chosen.
Free pickup at Canary Books, or shipping within the United States for an additional charge.
Founding members receive a tote after completing three paid months.
Everyone receives the same monthly selection.

What kind of books will Canary choose?
Expect thoughtful fiction, Appalachian and regional writing, memoir, essays, independent presses, unusual nonfiction, and books that may not have found you otherwise. Some will be new releases. Others may be overlooked books that deserve another life. The selections will vary, but Canary will always be able to tell you why the book is worth reading.
