An Evening on The Lawn: A Tribute to Mary Oliver
We’re setting up the projector out back. Join us on August 28th at dusk on The Lawn at Canary Books to spend an hour or two with Mary Oliver. Once it gets dark enough, we’ll be putting a feature-length look at her life and work up on the canvas. It’s low-key - no tickets, no formal seating. Just a good excuse to sit outside, share some space, and appreciate her words. It’s a bring-your-own-setup kind of night. Here is what you should pack to get comfortable: Seating: We have the grass, you bring the chair. Camp chairs, floor cushions, or thick picnic blankets work best. Layers: August evenings in Fayetteville cool off quickly once the sun goes down. Bring a heavy sweater or an extra throw blanket. Drinks & Snacks: BYO whatever you want to sip or snack on. A thermos of tea or a bottle of wine is highly encouraged. Bug spray: Because we'll be outside in the grass. See you out back.
